- The Nordului Apartment, 2005

The apartment situated in an assembly in the Northern area of Bucharest has a double personality. Its two faces alternate discreetly, almost without interacting: one - spectacular, theatrical, subtly composed and the other - quieter, more domestic and less extravagant. The closely watched and solved details succeed in keeping the coherence of the entire discourse, the uniqueness of the establishment coming also from this functional and stylistic bi-dimensionality.
Where it was possible, the initial structures were modified and, in order to amplify the sensation of space, the white was exploited to the maximum. The key-point of the establishment is constituted by the un-conventional space that opens to the right of the entrance. The straight lines lead to an alveolus delimited by simple glass walls, a special place dominated by a huge round leather bed, overseen by the platform where the Jacuzzi is installed. The extremely elegant living room set off the comfortable sofa, the low coffee table, the chair and an organic shaped lamp, a furniture structure lacquered in white, almost lost in the immensity, also white, of the wall. We are not dealing with a space that fills itself with objects, but rather with one that wants to emphasize, by empty spaces, the inherent quality of the interiors.
