Invited at the Connex headquarters after winning a small pitch for arranging some corporate headquarters, the igloo architects were informed that a Renaissance-inspired brand re-launch was desired. Walking on uncharted territory, igloo chose, as the starting point of the conception arrangement, a less “known” side of the Renaissance, the magical one, where the profound structures of the imaginary reveal themselves completely. In the beginning, a series of Connex – Renaissance correspondences were established: the central position of the technology / magic, the importance given to the imaginary in the advertising / phantasmal speech, the communication / coexistence of several visions of the world, a metaphor for the communications essence itself: the acceptance of your peer. The surprise and, at the same time, the controversy element was constituted by the presence of the birch trunks, sustained by stainless steel elements. A symbol of nature in the visible manifestation of a miraculous order, the birch trunk becomes the spokesman of nature’s imperfection, in fact, the order of a creation that has nothing to do with man.
